Peat imported from Latvia
Peat, also known as turf, peat soil, black soil, is the coal with low degree of coalification and the most primitive state of humic coal material.
Peat is an excellent soil for potting flowers. It can be used alone in potting, or in combination with perlite, vermiculite, river sand, coconut bran, etc. It contains a lot of organic matter, and is loose with good permeability. It has strong ability of water and fertilizer conservation, and it's in light texture, without disease spores and eggs. In countries where horticulture is well developed, peat is the main substrate in flower cultivation, especially in seedling and potted flowers, and common humus soil is no longer used.
